Had an amazing stay over New Year's! The warm welcome we received was fantastic, and the bed was unbelievably comfy. The spacious lounge was great for relaxing, and everywhere was spotless. The small patio area was a lovely bonus, perfect for enjoying the nice weather. Plus, the location was ideal - just a short walk to town, the canal walk, and the river. And the views of the rolling Devon hills were breathtaking!
The kitchenette/dining area was a bit cramped, making it challenging to comfortably eat. It would have been helpful to have a sink for washing up, but the description did mention that the host would take care of it.

The value for money at Tavistock Lodge was excellent, and the room itself was cozy and comfortable. The location was ideal, with easy access to the town center, parks, and nearby attractions. The staff, including the friendly owner Elaine, were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
The breakfast experience could have been improved with the addition of a sink in the kitchenette area.

I always come back to this cozy place in Tavistock. The staff helped me with great restaurant suggestions on my first stay. It has everything I need - free Wi-Fi, parking, kitchenette, flat-screen TV. Perfect for my business trips. Absolutely no regrets!

I recently had a great overnight stay at the Lodge in Tavistock. The lodge itself was beautifully furnished, and I was particularly impressed by the unbelievably comfy bed. The kitchenette was sufficient for preparing simple meals and breakfast. The host, Elaine, was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The location was perfect, with a short 10-minute walk to the town center, and easy access to Tavistock Park, the canal walk, and the river Tavy. being near Dartmoor, Plymouth, and the South Hams allowed for exploring the surrounding areas. The spectacular views of the Devon hills and the glimpse of Dartmoor from the bedroom were truly breathtaking. The spacious bedroom, comfy lounge with a large TV, and tasteful decor throughout made it one of the best self-catering places I've stayed in.
Nothing could be faulted during my stay; everything was simply great! 👍

The free WiFi was a lifesaver, so I could continue scrolling through social media while pretending to appreciate the beautiful garden and fireplace. The towels provided were a delightful reminder of the joy of drying off after a shower.
Oh, how I missed the sink! Such a simple pleasure, washing dishes in a tiny kitchenette is surely a luxury I can live without.
